TWENTY-TWO law offenders were arrested during a one-day operation by the local police in Bulacan.
Among those arrested were a murder suspect, two drug peddlers and 19 illegal gamblers.
Bulacan police acting director Col. Rommel Ochaver said the prompt response by the City of San Jose Del Monte (CSJDM) police resulted in the arrest of Danilo Peralta, a suspect in a murder case in Bgy. Kaybanban.
Two drug peddlers were arrested in a drug buy-bust by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of the San Miguel and Bocaue police.
The two were identified as Jayson Calaunan alias “Ambo,” of San Vicente, San Miguel; and Arjon Castro, of Bunducan, Bocaue.
Seized from Calaunan and Castro were 15 sachets of shabu and the marked money.
Ochaver said 16 persons were caught for engaging in illegal “tupada” by the Pandi and CSJDM police, together with the 2nd PMFC.
Recovered in the operation were fighting cocks, gaff, set of playing cards and bet money in different denominations.
The official added that the Angat police arrested three individuals playing tong-its.
