AUTHORITIES are investigating a robbery incident involving 10 policemen during a “tupada” raid last Wednesday in Pampanga.
The 10 were identified as Cpl. Resty B. Delima, 33; Cpl Jayarr G. Macaraeg, 36; MSg Rommel Nool, 37; Pat. Jhusua Fernandez; Pat. Bryan Steve M Pasquin, 25; Cpl. Alvin Pastorin,
33; Pat. Bjay A. Sales, 30; Cpl. Norman A. Lazaga, 34; Pat. Jayson M Martinez, 28; and Pat. Jeff Van Cruz, 25.
The accused policemen are assigned at the Pampanga Intelligence Unit of the Pampanga Police Station under the Police Regional Office 3.
An investigation showed the cops arrived at the compound of Alberto Gopez in Bgy. Duat, Bacolor, Pampanga, and accosted the 10 men inside for illegal cockfighting and divested the victims their money and other valuables.
Complainants were Alberto Gopez, 58, of Bgy. Duat, Bacolor, Pampanga; Allan Gopez, 32, of Blk. 6, Lot 18, Bulaon Resettlement, City of San Fernando, Pampanga; Angelito Pabalan, 70, of Blk. 81, Lot 12, Bulaon Resettlement, City of San Fernando, Pampanga; Ricardo Canlas, 78, of Zone 1, Bgy. Balas, Bacolor, Pampanga; Rodolfo Canlas, 67, of Blk. 12, Lot 28, Bulaon Resettlement, City of San Fernando, Pampanga; Efren Canlas, 63, of Blk. 8, Lot 12, Bulaon Resettlement, City of San Fernando, Pampanga; Jose de Leon, 52, of Blk. 82, Lot 4, Bulaon Resettlement, City of San Fernando, Pampanga; Romeo Garcia, 70, of Bgy. Mitla, Porac, Pampanga; Jesus David, 57, of 103 A.Melba St. Mountainview, Balibago, Angeles City, Pampanga; and Mario Sicat, 58, of Bgy. Concepcion, Bacolor, Pampanga.
The complainants said they were accosted by the operatives but were later released without giving back their cash money amounting to more or less P379,700 and valuables.
