
A SERIES of anti-criminality operations from June 4 to June 10 have sent to jail 22 most wanted men in the Cordilleras.
Cordillera Police Regional Office director Brig. Gen. David K. Peredo Jr. said the arrests were made amid their continuing effort to have a “crime-free community” in the region.
According to the records from the Cordillera Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division, the Baguio City Police Office and the Benguet Police Provincial Office accounted for seven arrests each followed by the Ifugao with three, the Abra PPO and the Kalinga PPO with two each and the Mountain Province PPO and the Apayao PPO with one arrest each.
Peredo said that during the same week, 58 municipalities in the region and five police stations in Baguio City recorded “zero-crime.”
He said that the “zero-crime incident” were recorded in 25 out of 27 municipalities in Abra, four out of six municipalities in Apayao, 10 out of 13 municipalities in Benguet, seven out of 11 municipalities in Ifugao, eight out of 10 municipalities in Mountain Province and four out of seven municipalities in Kalinga province.
“Zero-crime” incident’ was also recorded by the Naguilian, Camdas, Loakan, Aurora Hill and Kennon Road Stations of the Baguio City Police Office during the same period.
