TRAGEDY befell two siblings when one of them drowned while the younger one remains missing after they went swimming in a river in this town on Thursday morning in Zaragosa, Nueva Ecija.
Town police head Maj. Ronnie G. Caagbay identified the fatality as Cade Lorenz Co, of Poblacion Sur, Licab.
The victim’s relative, barangay captain Abet Cunanan, said the boy and his sister Athena went swimming in Licab river at 7 a.m. Thursday.
The family of the two kids’ started to worry when they failed to find the siblings. They immediately searched for Cade Lorenz and Athena.
Cade Lorenz was found floating in a river in the vicinity of Bgy. Del Pilar in the western part of the town at 10:40 a.m. on Friday.
A search for the young girl’s body is ongoing.
