
THE National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) was directed by Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla to conduct an in-depth investigation into the brutal killing of a 21-year-old female architecture student in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.
The DOJ secretary said there should be no stone left unturned in the pursuit of justice for the heinous crime committed against victim Eden Joy Villacete , an incoming 5th-year architecture student at Occidental Mindoro State College (OMSC) and a resident of Panganiban St., Bgy. Poblacion, Calintaan.
Villacete sustained multiple stab wounds, She was found naked and dead inside her rented room on Friday morning.
Concerned neighbors alerted the authorities after smelling a foul odor from her room. They also had not seen the victim for the past two days.
Occidental Mindoro Gov. Eduardo Gadiano has offered a P100,000 reward to anyone who can provide information that will lead to the arrest of the suspect.
