
TEN people were injured when a mini bus went out of control and fell into a fishpond in Noveleta, Cavite last Monday.
Maj. Rene Dale Cairel, acting police chief of the Noveleta Municipal Police Station, identified the victims as Rona Mae Fedelino, 21, of Bgy. Putol, Kawit; Precious Joy Compio, 23, student, of Sineguelasan, Bacoor City; Rogelio Nicol II, 26, of Talaba 2, Bacoor City; Marlon Marcial, 33, of Bgy. Pugad Lawin, Maragondon; Gush Lanzar, 44, teacher, of Bgy. Bacao 2, General Trias City; Debbie Bautista, 46, of Noveleta; Romeo Quebec, 37; Manilyn Quebec, 34, and Lhenard Marralag, 6 , all of Caridad, Cavite City, and bus driver Nestor Tampos 60, of Bgy. San Jose 1, Noveleta, all in Cavite.
An investigation showed that the bus was crossing Callero Bridge in Bgy. San Rafael IV when the driver lost control of the vehicle at 3 p.m. on Monday.
The vehicle hit the steel barrier before falling into the fishpond.
Personnel of the Noveleta Municipal Police Station, the Noveleta Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, and the Bureau of Fire Protection responded and pulled the victims out from the bus.
The injured victims were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
