Sa inilabas na pahayag ng PNP, “On August 27, 2023, the Philippine National Police, specifically the Firearms and Explosives Office has issued an order of revocation of LTOPF (license to own and possess firearm) and firearms licenses against an individual who drew his firearm, loaded and pointed it towards an unarmed cyclist near Welcome Rotonda on August 8, 2023,”.
Ayon kay Civil Security Group Acting Director Brig.Gen Benjamin Silo Jr. , agarang inaksyunan ang pagkakakilanlan ng nanutok ng baril na si Wilfredo Gonzales na nagviral ang video nitong weekend.
Inalisan ng Philippine National Police Civil Security Group ng License to To Own and Process Firearms , Firearm Registration , at Permit to Carry Firearms Outside Residence ang dating police officer.
“The PNP, specifically the firearms and Explosives Office revoke LTOPF, Firearm Registration and PTCFOR of the said individual”, dagdag pa ni Silo.
Nasa apat na iba’t- ibang kalibre ng armas ang binawi kay Gozales.Tatlong .45 na baril at 9mm pistol ang dinala sa Quezon City Police District matapos ang insidente.
