THE Bureau of Immigration (BI) announced the arrest of three illegal aliens caught in their head office in Intramuros.
BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco shared that the three aliens were intercepted by officers of the immigration regulation division (IRD) in three separate occasions after reporting to the BI their new passports.
Immigration policies require foreign nationals to report new passports and travel documents to transfer their latest entry and visas from their old passport.
Last August 2, officers arrested a Chinese man identified as Song Tiancheng, 25, after he was found to be a wanted fugitive facing a case for contractual fraud in China.
A deportation case was filed against him earlier this year after Chinese authorities informed the BI about his pending case in China.
Meanwhile, officers also intercepted on August 6 a Taiwanese man identified as Tu En Cheng, 51, after he was found to be the subject of a summary deportation order that the BI’s board of commissioners issued in 2020.
Tu was tagged as a fugitive in his country for fraud, which prompted the BI to file an undesirability against him.
The following day, a Chinese woman was also arrested after being found to be a fugitive. Dong Baolian, 39, is a fugitive from China who is wanted for fraud.
Subject is a member of company that has allegedly developed an application used for defrauding over CNY 1.54 Million from its victims.
All three aliens will remain in the BI’s holding facility pending deportation.
