BUREAU of Immigration operatives arrested three illegal aliens in separate operations in Davao City.
Arrested were Tejpal Singh, 35; Prakashkumar Vishnubai Patel, 31, and Manojkumar Ranchhodbai Patel, 51.
Singh, the subject of a Mission Order issued by BI Commissioner Jaime Morente for being an overstaying alien in the country, was arrested by agents of the Mindanao Intelligence Task Group last Thursday.
According to BI MITG head Melody Gonzales, Singh was caught while working as a cook in a popular Indian restaurant on Circumferential Road in Davao City.
MITG operatives arrested the Patels in another operation in a nearby restaurant following a Mission Order issued against the two.
Prakashkumar was nabbed for being an overstaying alien and for working without a proper work visa or permit.
Meanwhile, Manojkumar misrepresented himself in his visa application. He was found to be working in an establishment other than what was stated in his visa.
Morente commended the BI’s Intelligence Division for the arrest of the three illegal aliens.
“These aliens will be deported for violating the Philippine Immigration Act,” Morente said.
The arrested illegal aliens are being held at the BI Davao holding facility pending their deportation.
