
MERALCO recently met with Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte to discuss its targeted programs for the city this year.
The energy provider highlighted several ongoing initiatives carried out in collaboration with the local government, including the Household Electrification Program, participation in Social Services Caravans, and the establishment of a kiosk at the city’s Ease of Doing Business facility.
Additionally, Meralco expressed plans to expand its Anti-Urban Blight (AUB) Operations, aimed at safeguarding residents from the hazards posed by unauthorized connections and hanging electrical wires.
Mayor Belmonte was accompanied by Assistant City Administrator for Fiscal Affairs Don Javillonar, City Engineer Atty. Dale Perral, and other city officials.
Representing Meralco were senior officials, including SAVP and Kamuning & Roosevelt Business Center Head Agnes Macob.
The meeting underscored both parties’ commitment to fostering safer and more efficient services for Quezon City residents.
