A VILLAGE chief on Saturday was injured in a gun attack inside a restaurant in Bgy. San Antonio, Biñan City, Laguna.
According to Biñan City police chief Lt. Col. Virgilio Jopia, the victim was Michael “Moro” Benjamin Gonzales, 41, of 820 Balagtas St., Bgy. San Antonio, Biñan City.
Gonzales is the chairman in Bgy. San Antonio.
An investigation showed Gonzales was seated inside the Ice and Butter Snack Bar when shot by an unidentified suspect at 1:40 p.m. on Saturday.
The gunman fled towards the nearby Bgy. Poblacion.
Police are looking into personal grudge as motive for the attack.
