
AN elderly woman was allegedly killed and robbed by her own son in Naguilian, Isabela.
Police identified the victim as Lucilyn Ocampo, of Bgy. Palattao, Naguilian town.
The suspect was Ocampo’s 36-year-old son Alfie.
An investigation showed the suspect killed the victim by suffocating her with a pillow before fleeing with the P100,000 earnings Ocampo was planning to use for the repair of their house.
Alfie worked in Manila and returned to his hometown after 13 years.
It was learned that the suspect lost his job and decided to go back to Naguilian.
According to Alfie’s uncle Jessie Malanum, prior to the killing, the suspect uttered he will kill his mother.
The uncle confronted his nephew, who immediately answered he was only joking.
Malanum added they noticed that the suspect is fond of playing online gambling.
The suspect, who is being hunted by the police, was charged with parricide.
