THE weeklong anti-crime operations by the Central Luzon police led to the arrest of 422 law breakers and the seizure of more than P3 million worth of illegal drugs, and cash bets.
According to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., of the 422 arrests, 105 have standing arrest warrants, 17 of whom are most wanted for murder, rape, and frustrated murder; 159 were caught for illegal drugs, 135 were held for illegal gambling, while six for violation of other special laws.
Hidalgo said three assorted firearms were confiscated, including 456 plastic sachets of shabu worth P3.4 million, 16 sachets of marijuana valued at P9,884.40; and P101,449.00 in cash bets.
The Central Luzon top cop said these accomplishments are the result of timely coordination, intelligence-driven operations of different police units, and strong support of local officials, as well as those in the private sector in the region.
“The PRO3 remains steadfast in mobilizing its resources, along with its continuous efforts to address lawlessness in the region,” Hidalgo said.
