
AGENTS of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Luzon seized a package from the United States containing shabu worth over P12 million during a controlled delivery operation.
Nabbed was the alleged consignee identified as Kyle Puna Sanchez whose real name is Joel Mariano Reyes, 42, a resident of Bgy. Dr. Fernandez, Highways Hills, Mandaluyong City.
According to PDEA-CL, the package from the United States containing 1,808 grams of shabu worth P12..2 million was confiscated from Reyes.
The operating team said the shipment containing the imported shabu originated from San Jose, USA and arrived at the Port of Clark last May 9.
“The interception of the illegal drugs in Port of Clark emanated from the information received by PDEA ICFAS (International Cooperation and Foreign Affairs Service) from foreign counterparts,” the PDEA said.
Combined operatives of the PDEA Clark Inter-Agency Interdiction Task Group, Bureau of Customs- Port of Clark, PDEA-National Capital Region and the local police immediately launched an operation.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against the arrested suspect.
