
POLICE on Saturday discovered a cache of firearms and ammunition, including food and explosives, at a suspected rebel encampment in Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija.
2nd Provincial Mobile Force commander Lt. Col. Ranny Casilla said his men, the 304th RMFB, Talugtug police, Nampicuan and the local police conducted the joint special intelligence operation in Bgy. Colosboa at 1:20 p.m. last Saturday.
Recovered in the site were an improvised cal. 22 magnum with magazine loaded with six bullets, two rifle grenades, two hand grenades, a container of rice, a shotgun barrel, 171 live cal.5.56 bullets for M-16 rifle, seven bullets for cal. .357, nine ammunition for cal. 380, two ammunition for M203 grenade launcher, a live bullet for cal. 38, a bandolier, a roll of electrical wire, a car battery, two pairs of rubber shoes, a pair of farm boots, and several kitchen utensils.
