
THE Central Luzon police’s weeklong anti-crime campaign has hauled to jail 420 law violators.
Lawmen also confiscated 9,435.53 grams of illegal drugs, and cash bets.
Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen Jose Hidalgo Jr. said among the 420 arrested, 137 were wanted persons with strings of warrants ranging from murder, rape, and frustrated murder, 149 for illegal drugs, 114 were accosted for illegal gambling, 15 for illegal possession of firearm, and five for violation of other special laws.
Hidalgo said that some 62 assorted firearms were confiscated, including 9,435.53 grams of shabu and marijuana worth P3,404,986.40 and P63,591 in cash bets.
The Central Luzon top cop said the accomplishments were the result of timely coordination and intelligence-driven operations of the police units, as well as strong support of local officials and those from the private sector in the region.
“The PRO3 remains steadfast in mobilizing its resources, along with its continuous efforts to address lawlessness in the region,” Hidalgo said,” Hidalgo said.
