Regional Highway Patrol Unit 4A, under the supervision of Regional Chief RHPU4A, PCol Rommel Estolano, successfully carried out anti-carnapping operations that resulted in the Arrest of Jean Banilla y Aquino .
Joint Elements of PHPT RIZAL and Taytay MPS Warrant Section led by PEMS Darwin Dionisio PESPO under the Supervision of PMaj Dante Aquino Provincial Officer PHPT Rizal conducted a police operation against Wanted Person that resulted in the arrest of Jean Banilla y Aquino, for the crime of RA 10883 (Carnapping) with Criminal Case Number 23-84249.
During the conduct of the arrest, the PNP personnel utilized an alternative recording device (ARD) during the police operation. The arrest was made by virtue of Warrant Arrest for the crime of RA 10883 Carnapping with Criminal Case Number 23-84249 issued on October 20, 2023, by Hon Presiding Judge Caroline Casupanan Payumo of RTC Branch 71 Antipolo City with recommended bail of PHP 300,000.00.
The arrested accused was apprised of her Constitutional Rights in the language she knew and understood. The accused is currently detained at Taytay Custodial Facility, while the copy of the warrant of arrest will be returned to the court of origin for proper disposition. The successful arrest of the suspect is a significant accomplishment for RHPU4A, which shows a testament to the unit’s commitment to conducting intensified Anti-Carnapping Operations through the leadership of PBGen Alan M Nazarro , Director of the Highway Patrol Group, in line with the thrust of the CPNP’s strategy of implementing aggressive and honest law enforcement measures to combat carnapping, highway robbery, and other forms of criminality along the highways.
