
OPERATIVES on Monday rescued six persons believed to be victims of human trafficking in Pampanga.
According to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., a collaborative effort involving the Regional Anti-Trafficking in Persons Task Group 3, Women and Children Protection Desk, San Fernando police, and the Recovery and Reintegration Program of Trafficked Persons personnel from the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 3 launched the rescue operation in front of Golden Haven, Bgy. Calulut, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
Arrested was a 22-year-old female pimp, Jasmin dela Pena alias “Kang.”
Six individuals allegedly being offered for sexual services were safely rescued.
The suspect will be charged with violations of Republic Act 9208 (Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003), as amended by RA 10364 (Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2012), and RA 7610 (Child Abuse Law).
Hildalgo commended the efforts of the operating teams and reassured the public of a continued commitment to combat all forms of crimes, especially human trafficking, in the region.
