The Department of Health (DOH) – Ilocos Region led by Regional Director Paula Paz M. Sydiongco together with Congressman Deogracias B. Victor Savellano led the inauguration, blessing and unveiling of marker of the newly constructed Provincial DOH Office (PDOHO) in Poblacion East, San Ildefonso, Ilocos Sur on April 8, 2022.
According to Director Sydiongco, this the first time in the history of DOH that a lot and a building was donated. “Taus-puso kaming nagpapasalamat sa mga taong nagbigay ng bagong gusali at lupang katitirikan ng bagong opisina na syang magdadala ng mga kinakailangang serbisyong pangkalusugan sa mga iba’t-ibang local na pamahalaan at mga barangay ng Ilocos Sur”.
“With this new office, our staff can now work comfortably and perform their office functions efficiently. These donations imply the relentless commitment of our local leaders to attain better health outcome for the province and establish a more responsive health system that will provide quality health care communities in Ilocos Sur,” she stressed.
The 225 sq. real property was donated by the municipality of San Ildefonso, Ilocos sur through the efforts and genuine kindness and generosity of Mayor Christian Daniel A. Purisima while the building was provided by the office of 1st District Representative Deogracias B. Victor Savellano through his congressional allocation.
The former Ilocos Sur PDOHO office is located in Vigan, Ilocos Sur.
