ENSURING a smooth, transparent, and credible electoral process starts with well- trained certifiers on February 14, 2024, at Splash Mountain Resort, Los Baños, Laguna, Commission On Election (COMELEC) Region IV-A (CALABARZON) conducted the Training of DOST-Certifiers for the Electoral Board Certification Program, a crucial step in preparing for the May 2025 Elections.
Trainers from COMELEC, Election Officer, Atty. Emmanuel Puyo, Atty. James Andrew Recio and their tech team led an in-depth discussion on the Automated Counting Machine (ACM), the roles of the Board of Election Inspectors (BEIs), and the overall voting system. Participants had hands-on experience operating the ACM, ensuring they were well-equipped for the task ahead.
Between key sessions, Ms. Janice Irene F. Berris, DOST-CALABARZON Supervising SRS, and Core Certifier emphasized key reminders for the certifiers and acknowledged the presence of DOST-DLLO Director, Ms. Lita S. Suerte-Felipe. The training concluded with an engaging Q&A session and final preparations for upcoming activities.
The training will ensure that all Board of Election Inspectors (BEIs) in CALABARZON are well-prepared for a smooth, fair, and transparent election this upcoming May 2025.
