Los Baños ,Laguna-The Israeli Ambassador to the Philippines Ilan Fluss visits this town in the aim of their country to strengthen its partnership with the Philippines through various programs capturing various sectors.
Israel wishes to enhance is its cooperation with the Department of Agriculture for innovation and agricultural technology sharing ,as well as the implementation of Agrostudies and trainings in the Philippines for assisting in the development of its communities.
In said Agrostudies,Filipinos are trained for 11 months to practice smart agriculture.
The agency devoted for International Development Cooperation in Israel is MASHAV which conducts trainings within and putside their country.This includes the trainings for Filipinos in order to advance their skills in the areas of agriculture,public health,entreprenuership and innovation among others.
Since agriculture is one of the main industries in the Province of Laguna and locally in the town of Los Baños ,the aforementioned programs will be ultimately beneficial and helpful for agricultural innovations and developments in these areas.
Apart from agriculture,Israel also seeks to strengthen the economic and trade collaborations in the country with possibilities for Israeli business investments in strategic regions and localities.
