THE Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) on Tuesday formally inaugurated its service desk at the House of Representatives (HRep) Complex.
Ms Leah Melissa De Leon, GSIS Acting Senior Vice President of NCR Operations Group explained that the service desk was established to bring the GSIS Ginhawa Experience “closer to the more than 4,000 employees of the House. The service desk will simplify and expedite the way we do business in GSIS. Whether you need assistance in your loan, or you need to reconcile your premium records, or file a claim, our service desk is now here to cater to all your needs.”
HRep Secretary General Reginald Velasco said the establishment of the GSIS service desk is another milestone, “That was what we were talking about since day one. I learned that only one hour was then being allotted by the GSIS to the House. The House deserves this (new) type of service since we have over 6,000 employees plus House Members, and they are contributing monthly (to the GSIS),” SecGen Velasco added. He said putting up the GSIS service desk, no matter how small the space is, is a huge step and could be considered a win-win decision for both the House and its partner, the GSIS.
The GSIS Service Desk, located at the basement of the HRep South Wing Building, is open every first and third Tuesday of the month.
GSIS Vice President for NCR Area 1 Rachel Toledo Edjan urged GSIS members to use the GSIS Touch Mobile App which allows access to personal records without going to the GSIS office. She also urged members to update their contact information for the protection of their personal data, as well as faster receipt of information on additional requirements for the processing of their transaction documents.
