“When PHA sent me an invitation, I thought we will just receive a Certificate of Participation but we were surprised when we were called to the stage to receive the plaque for the second place winner. Nagpapasalamat kami sa binigay na award na ito at nagpapasalamat ako sa aking mga staff, sa kanilang effort at sacrifices to make this possible,” Guerrero emphasized.
A total of 72 video entries were received, 47 hospitals from Luzon, 12 from Visayas and 13 from Mindanao.
Justice Jose Abad Santos General Hospital in Manila, bagged the first place and over-all winner,
Department Of Health (DOH) – Ilocos Regional Director Paula Paz M. Sydiongco extended her congratulation to the JCGMH family. “When a health facility’s quality and safety climate or culture values hand hygiene and infection prevention and control (IPC), both patients and health workers feel protected and cared for. Kaya kailangang lahat ng health workers at all levels of care and people accessing health care facilities need to recognize the importance of hand hygiene.”
“Kapag nakikitang malinis ang isang health facility, it will encourage people to practice health hygiene at all times. We need to continuously promote high quality safer care not only in health facilities but in the community as well.”
The Department of Health has been promoting proper handwashing to maintain health and preventing disease transmission. The most valuable ways to convey handwashing message is by using visual display, such as video for educational purposes and to enhance learning.
