THE Bureau of Immigration (BI) is set to deport two foreign pedophiles tagged as undesirable aliens.
Immigration Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado said the aliens were arrested during separate operations conducted by operatives from the BI’s fugitive search unit (FSU) in Pampanga and Taguig.
“They will be deported immediately and will be placed in our blacklist, banning them from re-entering the Philippines,” Viado said.
Arrested on Oct. 16 was American pedophile Joseph John Graham, 76, who was collared at the Clark International Airport in Angeles City, Pampanga.
Graham is the subject of an arrest warrant issued by the 19th judicial court of Indian River County, Florida where he was charged with 55 counts of child pornography.
Investigation allegedly revealed that multiple child sex abuse materials, including nude pictures of Filipino children, some as young as 3 years old, were found on the mobile phone of Graham who frequently travels to the Philippines.
He faces a deportation charge with the BI, but will remain under the physical custody of the National Bureau of Investigation as further charges are eyed against him.
Also on Oct. 16, personnel of the BI SM Aura office in Taguig intercepted British national Ryan Ashley, 50, during his attempt to extend his tourist visa.
Ashley is a registered sex offender who was convicted in the United Kingdom in 1994 and 2002 for multiple sexual offenses, including indecent assault on minors.
He was later arrested by BI-FSU officers, and was transferred to the BI’s facility in Bicutan.
Both Graham and Ashley were arrested as part of the BI’s #Shieldkids campaign, focused on deporting child sex offenders and sex tourists.
