THE National Housing Authority (NHA) yesterday turned over a total of P10.95 million cash aid to the local government unit of Batanes for the 907 families affected by typhoon “Kiko.”
The cash assistance was mader through the agency’s Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP).
NHA Officer-in-Charge Roderick T. Ibañez personally handed over the cash grant to Batanes Provincial Planning and Development coordinator Marissa Antonio.
Antonio said 75 percent of the families in Batanes, whose houses were made of light materials, were affected by “Kiko.”
According to Antonio, the cash assistance will be of great help to the families in rebuilding their homes.
Joining OIC Ibañez in the turnover ceremony was NHA Region 2 manager Ferdinand C. Sales.
