BUREAU of Fire Protection-Tanza responded to a reported blast incident in Leon Fojas Street, Barangay Sahud-Ulan, Tanza, Cavite where they found various drug paraphernalia, equipment, and various types of suspected chemicals.
Immediate coordination with PDEA Regional Office IV-A, Tanza Municipal Police Station, and Scene of the Crime Operatives Region IV-A (SOCO 4A) were undertaken leading to the discovery that said equipment, paraphernalia and chemicals are for use in manufacturing illegal drugs. Upon further search, various types of dangerous were also found on-site.
Four drug personalities who were identified as Indonesian nationals, one Chinese-looking individual and a Filipina remain-at-large and are being tracked by the operatives.
The pieces of drug evidence have been brought to the PDEA Laboratory and is presently being examined by the Chemists, while non-drug evidence is under the PNP Laboratory Region IV-A.
A case for violation of Section 8 (Manufacture of Dangerous Drugs and/or Controlled precursors and Essential Chemicals) of Article II, Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act is being readied for filing while on-going coordination among PDEA, PNP and NBI for possible follow-up operations.
