
A MAGNITUDE 6.4 earthquake yesterday jolted Occidental Mindoro, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
The epicenter of the quake, which occurred at 5:05 a.m. yesterday, was 110 kms. northwest of Lubang town.
According to Phivols, the tremor was tectonic in origin.Intensity 4 was recorded in Lubang, Occidental Mindoro while intensity 3 in Nasugbu, Batangas, Tagaytay City, Amadeo, Maragondon, Mendez, and Alfonso in Cavite; Makati City; Quezon City; Taguig City; Mandaluyong City; Navotas City; Pasig City; and Plaridel in Bulacan.Intensity 2 was felt in Talisay, Batangas; Malabon City; Palauig, San Felipe, and Castillejos, Zambales; and intensity I in Parañaque City.No injury nor damage to property was reported.
