A MAGNITUDE 6 earthquake early yesterday morning shook Masbate.
According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake, which was tectonic in origin, was felt at 2:10 a.m. in Batuan, Masbate.
The tremor had a depth of 10 kms.
Intensity 5 was felt in Dimasalang, San Fernando, and Uson, Masbate while intensity 4 hit Legazpi City, Albay; Aroroy, Cataingan, Esperanza, Milagros, and Pio V. Corpuz, Masbate; Irosin, and City of Sorsogon in Sorsogon.
Intensity 3 jolted Daraga, Albay
Some buildings and road incurred damages but no major damages were reported following the quake said the disaster officials.
