IN a rousing rally held Friday, #83 OFW Party List Rep. Marissa “Del Mar” Magsino urged supporters to stand united in the final push toward election day, vowing to continue championing the rights and welfare of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), seafarers, and their families in a potential second term.
“Nasa home stretch na tayo at ilang araw na lang ang judgement day,” Magsino declared before a cheering crowd. “Let us all rise and shout together: OFW Party List sa Kongreso — Muli!” she repeated with the crowd in five powerful chants.
In a speech that doubled as a reflection on the campaign’s hardships and triumphs, Magsino highlighted the sacrifices her team made throughout the grueling campaign season, from enduring long travels to campaigning under the sun with limited resources. She stressed that her campaign was anchored not on money or machinery but on trust, sincerity, and a two-decade track record of advocacy.
“While others spent billions, we relied on faith and hard work. We never bought votes, we earned them through integrity and connection,” she said.
Magsino also pushed back against critics who accused her of using the OFW platform for personal gain: “We stood firm on principles and a clear platform. We did not promise the impossible nor resort to gimmicks. We stayed true to the people.”
As the campaign season officially ends Saturday, Magsino took time during the rally to express deep gratitude to her family, supporters, party nominees, and hardworking campaign staff who, she said, were the heart and soul of their movement.
“To my family, who stood by me in moments of fatigue and attacks, I thank you with all my heart. You are my strength,” she said.
Magsino concluded the rally with a resounding call to action, repeating: “OFW Party List sa Kongreso — Muli!” and leaving supporters with a message of hope and conviction.
“Our fight is not just for a seat in Congress, it is for every OFW and every Filipino seeking justice, dignity, and a better future. Mananalo tayo!”
With the campaign season coming to a close, all eyes turn to the upcoming elections, where #83 OFW Party List is seeking a renewed mandate from the people.
