
AN alleged pastor was arrested by the police in a buy-bust operation in Cebu City.
Arrested was Mark Secretaria Duaban, 42, a resident of Sitio Riverside in Bgy. Duljo-Fatima, Cebu City.
The Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-Central Visayas said Duaban is the cousin of Rowen “Yawa” Secretaria, a drug suspect listed as third most wanted felon in Cebu.
Secretaria was killed in an encounter with anti-drug agents in Banacon Island off the town of Getafe, Bohol in May 2016.
Operating team of the Anti-Drug Unit of the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas led by Lt. Bonifacio Tañola arrested Duaban in a sting.
Confiscated from the suspect was a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu weighing 2.075 kilos and worth P14.1 million.
Duaban is known in his sitio as a “pastor” who founded a religious congregation called “Maayong Balita” composed of members of his family.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against the arrested suspect
