
Olongapo City – INCUMBENT Mayor and re-electionist Atty. Rolen “Lenj” Paulino Jr. is emerging as the frontrunner in the 2025 mayoralty race in Olongapo City, according to early election trends.
Paulino is leading ahead of three other candidates: millionaire businessman Arnold Vegafria, incumbent Vice Mayor Jong Cortez, and former STL operator and Barangay Gordon Heights Kapitana Etchie Ponge, who is currently trailing at the bottom of the race.
Observers attribute Paulino’s strong showing to his steady leadership, infrastructure projects, and inclusive economic initiatives aimed at uplifting all sectors of Olongapo society.
“Tuloy tuloy lang po tayo sa ating serbisyo para sa ating mga kababayan, lalo na sa mga nangangailangan ng agarang solusyon sa usapin ng pang kalusugan” Paulino said.
“Yung mga isyu at problema sa ospital natin sa James sosolusyunan po natin yan paunti-unti, ako po ay nakikiusap sa taumbayan na maging mahinahon lang po. gumagawa po tayo ng aksyon tungkol dyn. trust the process. Kahit sino pang bagong umupong mayor, malalaman nya na hindi ganung kadali mai-reporma ang ospital, hindi agad agad, pero tayo po ay nasa proseso na ng pagpapa angat ng serbisyo sa ospital natin” he added.
Residents and supporters praise the mayor for his “tuwid na serbisyo” and development programs that have improved local governance and stimulated economic activity in the city.
The local campaign season is heating up as the May elections draw closer, with Paulino maintaining a significant lead while his challengers seek to gain ground.
