ALERT policemen on Thursday night arrested a 27-year-old woman trying to sneak shabu stuffed in loaf bread in a jail facility in Davao City.
Police said the woman was about to bring the “sandwich” to a friend detained at the Mandug Police Station Jail.
Authorities noticed that the woman was acting suspiciously.Officers were checking the bread when they were surprised to see the shabu in a plastic inserted in the loaf bread.
The seized illegal drugs weighed three grams and had a street value of P48,000.
An investigation showed the friend of the arrested female suspect was caught for illegal drugs.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against the arrested woman.
