IN an inspiring demonstration of solidarity and swift response, Tingog Partylist, led by Rep. Yedda Romualdez and Rep. Jude Acidre, in collaboration with Speaker Martin Romualdez, successfully concluded on Monday its relief operation for Severe Tropical Storm (STS) Enteng victims in Rizal and Zambales.
This initiative was launched to support families severely impacted by Enteng, with a focus on hard-hit areas in the provinces of Rizal and Zambales.
Undeterred by challenging weather conditions, Tingog volunteers were steadfast in ensuring aid reached those in need.
In Zambales, the operation was coordinated with 2nd District Rep. Bing Maniquiz, delivering relief packs to five municipalities. The aid package included Department of Social Welfare and Development relief packs, supplementary groceries and P500 transportation allowance per family.
Overall, the relief efforts reached 600 families benefiting 3,000 individuals in Zambales alone.
Across both Rizal and Zambales, essential support was provided to a total of 10,374 affected families or 51,783 individuals.
Rep. Yedda Romualdez extended her heartfelt gratitude to the numerous volunteers, local leaders, and partner organizations whose unwavering dedication made the relief operation possible.
“The spirit of cooperation and compassion has shone brightly through these challenging times,” she stated. “Our collective effort has truly made a difference in the lives of those affected.”
Speaker Martin Romualdez commended the collaboration, highlighting the critical role of unity and collective action in disaster response.
“The success of this relief operation is a testament to what we can achieve when we unite for a common cause. Our work does not end here; we remain committed to supporting these communities in their recovery and rebuilding efforts,” the Speaker said.
Tingog Partylist and the Office of Speaker Martin Romualdez vowed to continue efforts to provide relief and support, particularly in cyclone-hit communities in the aftermath of STS Enteng.
