A BUSINESSMAN facing syndicated estafa raps and his female companion on Friday night were arrested by the police in an operation in Angeles City, Pampanga.
Arrested were Soliman “Dexter” Villamin Jr., 42, and Lovely Corpus, 37, both of 2614 Timog Park Subd., Bgy. Pampang, Angeles City.
Villamin is a businessman who established the agribusiness venture DV Boer Farm International Corp.. His family owns the DV Boer Farm in Lian, Batangas.
Armed with a warrant of arrest issued by the Binangonan, Rizal Regional Trial Court for swindling, Angeles City police acting commander Col. Diosdado Fabian said his men, along with personnel of the Lian Municipal Police Station in Batangas led by Maj. Amiel Bernardo Sanhi Jr. under the supervision of Maj. Joven Rodriguez, arrested Villamin and Corpus at 8:15 p.m. on Friday.
Fabian said the arrest was part of “Oplan: Manhunt Charlie” of the Philippine National Police to account for persons sought by law.
Records showed DV Boer is involved in the “Paiwi” program, which involves goat leasing and raising of rabbits, chicken, and other livestock at package costs ranging from P10,000 to P2 million.
The investors were promised up to 30 percent interest.
The Securities and Exchange Commission said DV Boer has no license to operate such an investment scheme.
Villamin and Corpus were turned over to the Lian police for proper disposition.
